USB flash drives are super common in our daily lives, but sometimes things go wrong, like getting a virus on your USB.
After you run an antivirus scan, you might notice that some files have gone missing. So what do you do when this happens?
Why does this happen?
Well, it turns out that those missing files are actually just hidden by the virus. The original files are still there on the USB; they're just not visible because of the virus.
How to fix it?
Step 1: First, create a new text file on your computer and type in this code:
@echo off attrib-s -h -r -a /s /d
Step 2: Next, hit "Save As," choose where to save it in the pop-up window, and change the file name to "USB File Recovery.bat." Make sure to select "All Files" as the save type before clicking "Save."
Step 3: Now copy that recovery.bat file onto your USB drive and double-click it to run. After a few seconds, those disappeared files should show up again!
And there you go! You've fixed the issue with disappearing files after running the antivirus on your USB drive.
Hope this helps!
